Galsiahs character development, overview

NB: There is no need to upgrade from 1.07b to 1.07c - the esps are not changed. The only addition for 1.07c is the
inclusion of the Werewolf Evolution patch (and slight changes to the readmes, clearly).

To upgrade from 1.07 to 1.07c, just replace the old esp with the new one. The changes are very minor, so there is
no need to go through the remove+save+add+load process. Just replace the main GCD esp with the new one in
Morrowin/Data Files, and you're done.

To install the mod, simply select the esps you need, put them in the Morrowind/Data files folder, then select
them when you load Morrowind.

The only essential esp is (1) Galsiahs Character Development

Most people will want to use at least:
(1) Galsiahs Character Development
(2) GCD Better Balanced Birthsigns
(3) GCD StartScript for Trib or Bloodmoon (if you have at least one expansion)

Explanations:

(1) Galsiahs Character Development	(v1.07c)

This is the main GCD mod. Details are in the readme.

(2) GCD Better Balanced Birthsigns

This mod is NOT required in order to use GCD; it is not well balanced for use without GCD.
It is a small birthsigns mod created to remedy the fact that GCD makes attribute increase birthsigns much better
than they used to be (the lady particularly). I've left the steed as it is, since speed is generally less useful
than other attributes. I've removed all other BBB changes as of 1.05b. BBB now only affects what is necessary due
to GCD changes - it should therefore work well alongside most other birthsign mods.

[The larger than standard atronach max magicka bonus has been replaced by the standard one (2x) in BBB. Atronach
characters are now given an increased magicka bonus by GCD directly - whether you use BBB or not.]

Heres what Ive changed:

Lady's grace is now +15 per, rather than +25.
Lady's favour is now +15 end, rather than +25.

(Lover) mooncalf is now +20 agility, not +25.

(3) GCD StartScript for Trib or Bloodmoon

This is a tiny mod which you should use if and only if you have one or both of the expansions. Its only function
is to make sure the GCD scripts are started at the very beginning, so that GCD is compatible with character
generation mods.

IMPORTANT:	if you have neither of the expansions, and you want to use GCD on a non-GCD saved game, you will
need to start GCD from the console. To do this type:

StartScript, Gals__Start <enter> (note the TWO underscores)

(4) GCD Restore Potions Fix

This addon fixes the problem where restore attribute potions from the standard game will not restore an attribute
over 95 with GCD. This is because these potions have instantaneous duration, so the effects cannot be measured by
GCD. This esp simply changes the duration of these potions from 0 to 1. These changes might conflict with other
potion changing mods, so you might need to merge them, or change the durations to 1 in the other mod yourself.

(5) GCD Over 60 level speedup

This is a GCD addon which speeds up character levelling once the player reaches level 60. This has NO EFFECT on
any of GCDs other calculations. The ONLY effect of this addon is to increase the characters level for the
purpose of fulfilling levelled list criteria i.e. so that the player will eventually meet all the bad guys that
exist on his levelled lists. The only mod of which I am aware that makes this addon necessary is
Creature Pack 1.1 (Giants and The Undead do not require this addon to be used). Even using this addon, it
will be impossible to reach a level higher than 200. Im pretty sure this is never necessary if it is, then
blame the other modder ;).
Note that this addon was designed under the assumption that the attributes_required variable in Gals_Customize is
either 6 (the default) or lower. Set it higher than 6 and you might not meet all the bad guys but if you set it
higher than 6, you probably want an easy life in any case.
This esp should be after the main GCD esp in the load order.

(6) GCD settings fairly easy

NB - there is no need to use either of these settings addons, but you can if you like.
Makes changes to the default settings of GCD to make things a bit easier. It alters only the
Gals___Customize script - there is nothing in this esp that you couldn't do yourself, so your own customisation
will suit you better than this addon, so long as you're sensible (and can be bothered). Do not use this with the
hard settings esp. Do not use this if you've changed any of the settings in Gals___Customize yourself - only the
last set of changes will take effect. This esp should be after the main GCD esp in the load order.

This addon:
increases health (around +10% at the start, dropping towards 5% over the course of the game)
increases attribute increase rate (+10%)
increases magicka regen rate (+10%)
reduces regen penalty for low fatigue (around +10% regen on average)
reduces skill slowdown rate (makes increasing skills about 25% easier eventually)
reduces level increase rate (about -5%) so you'll have higher stats at a given level.
increases the rate of increase of luck (about +20%)

(7) GCD settings hard
NB - there is no need to use either of these settings addons, but you can if you like.
Makes changes to the default settings of GCD to make things harder. It alters only the Gals___Customize script -
there is nothing in this esp that you couldn't do yourself, so your own customisation will suit you better than
this addon, so long as you're sensible (and can be bothered). Do not use this with the easy settings esp. Do not
use this if you've changed any of the settings in Gals___Customize yourself - only the last set of changes will
take effect. This esp should be after the main GCD esp in the load order.

This addon:
reduces health (around -20% at the start, dropping towards -8% over the course of the game)
reduces attribute increase rate (-5%)
reduces magicka regen rate (-25%)
increases skill slowdown rate (makes increasing skills about 15% harder eventually)
increases level increase rate (about +15%)
reduces the rate of increase of luck (about -15%)

(8) CharGen Revamped delay2

For use only with gman21s Chargen Revamped mod. Delays the CharGen Revamped script 1 second and puts short
pauses between the menus so that all menus are shown correctly. (written for version 1.4, but might work with
previous versions)

(9) GCD TEO compatibility patch

To be used only if you use Thief Experience Overhaul (by LDones). The patch must be after TEO in the load order
this will probably be the case without you needing to do anything. This patch should have no effect on TEO
gameplay at all. [it just changes all the ability bonuses (non GCD compatible) into curse bonuses (GCD compatible)]

(10) GCD - Cult of the clouds patch

Patch to fix a few minor issues using GCD with CoC. Use only with CoC. Should be after CoC in the load order. This
patch is entirely the work of Lord Platin. So many thanks to him.

(11) Havish patch

Patch to fix issues using GCD with Havish. Only use this with Havish (works with version 1.2, and almost certainly
with others). Should be after Havish in the load order. Fixes conflicts caused by Foeburner and Akaviri Scimitar.
It changes the bonus of the Akaviri Scimitar very slightly to provide compatibility. This one's mine, so you can
blame me for the errors ;)

(12) GCD_SS_patch

Patch for use of Scripted Spells with GCD. Only use with Scripted Spells (Cortex). Should be after Scripted Spells
in the load order. This patch is entirely the work of Peter (aka ps33), so thanks to him.

(13) GCD_VH_patch2

Patch for use of Vampire HungerIII with GCD. Only use with Vampire HungerIII (zennorious). Should be after Vampire
HungerIII in the load order. This patch is the work of Peter (aka ps33), but I made a few small aditions, so if
it doesn't work, you can blame me.

(14) Brittlewind fix

This fixes the Brittlewind bug introduced by Bloodmoon. This bug gives all NPCs a powerful frost damage spell
(10pts for 10 seconds) which usually spells death to level 1 characters. GCD can apparently trigger this bug, so
if you use Bloodmoon, then you should use this fix esp (unless you enjoy getting frozen to death repeatedly).

(15) GCD_WE_patch

Patch for use only with Werewolf Evolution (Cortex). This fixes the WE stat changes so that they're compatible
with GCD. Load order shouldn't matter for this patch.

(16) GCD Stat Calculator

This allows you to enter your initial skills and attributes, and see what your GCD attributes, health, magicka
and magicka regen rate will be you can also view the effect of changing GCD constants. Finally you can enter the
skill values that you anticipate your character attaining in a few days time, and the sheet will show the resulting
attributes, health of your character at this stage. Note that the starting values and current values must both
be for the same character. [the current health calculations in the spreadsheet were wrong in v1.02, this is now
fixed]

(17) Skill influence table

An excel worksheet showing which skills influence which attributes, and by how much, along with influences on
health (these are the default values to change them, edit the Gals___SKILL_FACTORS script in the main GCD esp).

(18) GCD Skill increase rates

An excel worksheet used to check how many normal skill increases will be required for a skill to reach given
levels. Useful if you want to change the slowdown rates / thresholds of skills, but cant anticipate the effects.
